The Press Release of the Workshop
The Institute of Stress Biology & Medicine (IBMS) successfully organized its first workshop.
The workshop was held at the Auditorium of the Hall of the Research Laboratory of the 1st Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens, at the Aghia Sophia Children’s Hospital, on Saturday 12 December 2015 and was attended by more than 130 people (biologists, psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists, pediatricians, students, etc.).
The scientific program and the speakers’ lectures attracted the interest of the participants, who were enthusiastic about the topics of the Workshop.
In brief, the topics of the workshop, were as follows:

Neuroplasticity: common mechanisms in stress and mood disorders
Gender differences in stress response: preclinical and clinical evidence

Katerina Antoniou (As. Professor of Pharmacology, School of Medicine, University of Ioannina/ President of the Greek Food and Drug Administration) and the lectures were coordinated by Professors M. Koutsilieris, K. Tsigos, M. Panagiotakopoulou and Ch. Papageorgiou.
