Press Release for the 1st Panhellenic Conference of IBΜS. Dear Colleagues and Friends, It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 1st Panhellenic Congress of the Scientific Association “Institute of Stress Biology & Medicine-IBIS” that will take place on January 20-22, 2017 at the Auditorium of Physiology C. Kotzias of the Medical School of the University of Athens. IBΜS is an institute aiming to promote and disseminate scientific knowledge regarding biological mediators related to stress and their interactions with the brain, body and behavior, as well as the clinical applications of this knowledge. It also aims to promote basic and clinical research in psychoneuroendocrinology, neurobiology, psychoneuroimmunology, psychophysiology, psychopharmacology and other related fields. The essential aim of IBMS is to facilitate communication between scientists from different disciplines who focus their research interest on the study of stress. The scientific programme of the 1st Conference on: “Systems Biology-Medicine and Stress” aims to attract scientists from different disciplines such as neuroscientists, psychiatrists, neurologists, immunologists, endocrinologists, pediatricians, psychologists, geneticists, biologists as well as students of the respective sciences. We believe that the creative communication between the scientific teams will deepen the understanding of the mechanisms involved in the physiology and pathophysiology of stress with ultimate benefits for research and continuing education in the rapidly evolving science of stress.
