1st Panhellenic Conference of ISBM January 20-22, 2017
IThe essential aim of ISBM is to facilitate communication between scientists from different disciplines who focus their research interest on the study of stress. We believe that the creative communication between the scientific teams will deepen the understanding of the mechanisms involved in the physiology and pathophysiology of stress with ultimate benefits for research and continuing education in the rapidly evolving science of stress.

Scope: The guide aims to equip people with practical skills to help cope with stress. The Greek version is available under the lisence CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 in year 2021. It was published by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece and the Institute of Stress of Biology and Medicine contributed to that action.

5th Anniversary Panhellenic Interdisciplinary Conference on Childhood, Adolescent, Adult and Aged-adult Multiple Sclerosis (MS) November 28-30, 2024
Τhe Interdisciplinary Conference on Childhood, Adolescent, Adult and Aged-adult Multiple Sclerosis (MS) was held in Athens, under the auspices of the Athens School of Medicine, of the Hellenic Institute of Children, Adolescents and Adults with Multiple Sclerosis (EIPEES), of the Institute of Biology and Medicine of Stress (IBIS), of the Institute of Autoimmune Systemic and Neurological Diseases (IASYNN), of the Research University Institute of Mother Child & Precision Medicine and UNESCO Chair of Adolescence of Health and Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. New immunotherapies were discussed and presented, such as CAR-T cell immunotherapy, with a targeted approach to both MS and other autoimmune neurological diseases, with common pathological pathways, but resistant to all existing immunotherapies.
5th Brain and Mind Congress December 20-22, 2024
The 5th Interdisciplinary Conference at the conference center of the Airotel Stratos Vassilikos Hotel in Athens. The need for further understanding of the functioning and disorders of the brain requires the ongoing collaboration of scientists from the fields of neurology, psychiatry, psychology, biology, pharmacology, genetics, neuroimaging, and advanced technology. However, it seems that for a more comprehensive and perhaps deeper understanding of human thought, emotions, and behavior, it is necessary to constantly redefine the goals and possibilities of neuroscience with the help of philosophy, which is rich in relevant logical, conceptual/semantic, and phenomenological analyses.
6th Anniversary Panhellenic Interdisciplinary Conference on Childhood, Adolescent, Adult and Aged-adult Multiple Sclerosis (MS) November 13-15, 2025
The 6th Panhellenic Interdisciplinary Conference on Pediatric, Adolescent and Adult-Senior MS took place on November 13-15, at CROWNE PLAZA in the center of Athens, with a rich theme on demyelinating and autoimmune diseases of the CNS, with an emphasis on the Pediatric and Adolescent form, neuroimmunology, but also a critical look at the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in their management! At the start of the conference on Thursday, November 13, an educational seminar (workshop) was hold on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in MultiOmics in Multiple Sclerosis. Additionally, in the last session, on Saturday, November 15, the neuroimmunological and neurophysiological data on non-pharmacological interventions in MS (literature, mindfulness, music therapy, art therapy) were discussed!

12th Psychopharmacology Conference January 29–31, 2026
The 12th Psychopharmacology Conference January 29–31, 2026 was held on January 29–31, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Athens. The continuing education of psychiatrists and, in particular, the maintenance of high standards of training in psychopharmacology are essential for the proper and safe practice of psychiatry. Τhe Institute contributed by participating in ROUND TABLE 12 entitled "Stress System and GR/MR Signaling: Neurobiology and new therapeutic strategies in stress-related disorders," chaired by Professor Emeritus of Medicine Georgios P. Chrousos and Professor of Pharmacology Christina Dalla. ISBM also participated in ROUND TABLE 14 entitled "Pharmaceutical and Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions in Pediatric Populations with ADHD and Early Stress," chaired by Georgios P. Chrousos, Professor Emeritus of Medicine, and Panagiota Pervanidou, Professor of Developmental Pediatrics.
