1st Day Congress December 12, 2015
The Institute of Stress Biology & Medicine (IBMS) successfully organized its first workshop. The workshop was held at the Auditorium of the Hall of the Research Laboratory of the 1st Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens, at the Aghia Sophia Children's Hospital, on Saturday 12 December 2015 and was attended by more than 130 people (biologists, psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists, pediatricians, students, etc.). The scientific program and the speakers' lectures attracted the interest of the participants, who were enthusiastic about the topics of the Workshop.
Therapeutic Updates - April 2016
Participation of IBMS in the 49th Scientific Conference of the1st Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens with relevant topics. The 1st Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens, under the direction of the late Professor Nikolaos Matsaniotis, initiated in 1968 the THERAPEUTIC UPDATES, a scientific event that was established and loved by every Greek Pediatrician. The THERAPEUTIC UPDATES is now a tradition and takes place every year on the firts weekend immediately after the Easter holidays.
1st Panhellenic Conference of IBMS January 20-22, 2017
The 1st Panhellenic Congress of the Scientific Association “Institute of Stress Biology & Medicine-IBIS” took place on January 20-22, 2017 at the Auditorium of Physiology C. Kotzias of the Medical School of the University of Athens. ISBM is an interdisciplinary group aiming to promote and disseminate scientific knowledge regarding biological mediators related to stress and their interactions with the brain, body and behavior, as well as the clinical applications of this knowledge. It also aims to promote basic and clinical research in neurobiology, psychoneuroendocrinology and psychoneuroimmunology and psychophysiology and psychopharmacology and other related fields. The essential aim of the Institute is to facilitate communication between scientists from different disciplines who focus their research interest on the study of stress.
SYMPOSIUM: Early life Stress in Narrative & Precision Medicine September 25, 2018
The Symposium of the Institute of Stress of Biology and Medicine (IBIS) on Early Stress and its relation to the health and diseases of children, adolescents and adults on 25/9/2018 is part of the events before the start of the Annual Congress of the European Society of Pediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) which took place in Athens.
Participation in the PEERS research project - January 2020 to June 2022
Participation of ISBM in the PEERS (Internet platform for preclinical research standardisation) research project. The distinguished institutions participating in the project: Cohen Veterans Biosciences, USA, National Technical University of Athens, PAASP GmbH, Heidelberg, Germany and the Universities of Groningen, Institute for Evolutionary Life Sciences, the Institute of Medical Sciences, University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
Dissemination workshop SHARE4BRAIN September 2021
Participation of IBΜS in the dissemination workshop of the Erasmus+ KA2 programme Share4Brain "Good Practice compilation for Brain Education in Europe, Successful Campaigns and Strategies for Brain Awareness in Europe". The Share4Brain project aims to unite patients, brain researchers, scientists, clinicians and carers at a national level and to provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to promote brain research and raise awareness about the societal impact of brain diseases.
13th Panhellenic Congress on Obesity, Diabetes, and Metabolism, April 17–19, 2026
